Jessi Knudsen Castañeda
Founder and Board Chair/Director
Jessi spends her days caring for and training the animal residents and giving presentations. She takes care of the business end of the organization though she prefers to spend her time in the company of the animals.
Augusto Castañeda
Founder and Assistant Director
Augusto keeps himself busy caring for the animals and giving presentations. He spends any extra time researching new and better ways to improve the animal's nutrition and overall care.
Kris Romero
Education Director
Kris adds knowledge and experience in education and exotic animals to the Board. She is also a professor at America's Teaching Zoo at Moorpark College. Kris can always find the solution to any problem.
Dr. Cynthia Stringfield, DVM
Animal Care Director
Dr. Stringfield is an exotic animal veterinarian. She has worked at the Los Angeles Zoo and currently is the on site vet at America's Teaching Zoo. Dr. Stringfield helps keep Animal Wonders' animal residents healthy and happy.
Juan Castañeda
Legal Director
Juan gives Animal Wonders a fresh point of view because he is not part of the animal world. He also helps the organization with any legal questions. Juan's children help Animal Wonders by giving their unique point of view about the presentations.
