Stumpy's Biography
These three hoppy friends came to Animal Wonders as unwanted pets in the fall of 2022. They were purchased by an individual and endured the stress of being shipped from across the country, only to be quickly displaced and moving homes again. Despite the rough few months, these three have settled in at Animal Wonders and are now eating consistently and growing bigger.
Huey is the largest and most eager to eat when a meal comes his way. Dewy is the second largest and when we come to visit is he only hesitates a moment before hopping over to investigate what's going on. Louie is the smallest and had the hardest recovery from the stressful transition, but will a little persuasion he'll chomp down a cricket the size of his head!
Huey, Dewy, and Louie were only able to come live at Animal Wonders because a space opened up for them to move into. That space used to belong to our wonderful froggy friend, Stumpy. Stumpy lived at Animal Wonders for over 10 years and when he passed away, we thought the best way to honor his legacy was to open his home up to another who needed a safe place. We weren't expecting THREE! We were happy to offer Stumpy's luxuriously upgraded home to these three and we hope to see them thrive here for the next decade or more.
