Kemosabe's Biography

Kemosabe, or Kemo for short, came to Animal Wonders from a private zoo in Nevada. Kemo was supposed to be breeding but after several years of no success they found out Kemo was not the female they thought they had. Kemo was born in captivity so he cannot be released into the wild and is quite used to human interaction. He enjoys eating a variety of vegetables and fruits, but his favorite is bananas!
We call Kemosabe our 'one tooth porcupine' because he only has one top incisor instead of two. He is a rodent which means his two top and bottom incisors are ever-growing and they have to chisel them together to ensure they don't get too long. Since Kemosabe is missing a top tooth he cannot properly chisel his teeth so he needs the help of his personal dentist (veterinarian) to file his teeth every few months so he can continue to eat.
