One year ago, we rescued Huckleberry the North American Beaver! Look how little he was! In the last year, Huckleberry has become a much loved ambassador, traveling to schools across Western Montana and viewed on screens across the world. We're so proud of how healthy he's grown and how well he manages his challenges. We hope you've enjoyed getting to know Huckleberry

We're almost through our busy season at Animal Wonders and we're starting to move our focus to creating more merch! Our most recent creation is some new Animal Art: paintings by Lollipop the striped skunk. Lollipop has a great time slopping through the slimy non-toxic paint and finding treats scattered and hidden amongst the blank canvases. You can watch her in the video below. If you'd like to purchase a painting for your wall or as a gift they can be found in our Animal Shop. Put in an order for your 2016 Animal Wonders calendar before November 27th* to ensure you get one this year! You can purchase them through our Animal Shop and it will arrive before Christmas!
The perfect gift for an animal loving friend or family member. All proceeds go directly to the animals. Photography by the very talented Ryan Hellegaard who makes the animals' personalities shine. Each month features a new animal ambassador doing something they enjoy and a short bio. Calendars are $15 if you pick up locally in Missoula and $20 with shipping. *If ordered after November 27th the price will increase to $20 and $25 with shipping. You can see a video of one of our live presentations!
We've moved our fundraising platform to Patreon! We've already exceeded our previous funding and we couldn't be more excited about what that means for Animal Wonders! Watch the video to learn more about what it means to become an Animal Wonders' patron and help us improve the lives of the animals at Animal Wonders and around the world. If you'd like to become a Patreon patron you can follow this link. Pledges given before April 30th, 2015 will be matched dollar for dollar raising twice the funds for the animals!
Here's a video on how Animal Wonders came to be! They're here!!! Our 2015 Calendar fundraiser has begun and the calendars are beautiful. Our photographer Ryan Hellegaard got "Up-Close and Personal" with the animals this year and captured some intimate photos of the animals just being themselves. Order yours today and help support the care of the amazing animal ambassadors.
They are available in our Animal Shop for $20. Be sure to choose if you'd like to pick it up at the Montana Natural History Center in Missoula, MT or if you'd like it shipped to your location for $5. Thank you for supporting Animal Wonders! Rook the Raven came to Animal Wonders in July 2014 with a broken wing that had already mended malformed in the wild. He was brought to Wild Skies Raptor Center after being found emaciated on the forest floor and unable to fly away. Wild Skies rehabilitated him and determined he was non-releasable and contacted Animal Wonders in hopes that he could become an education bird and join our Animal Ambassador team. We've been working with Rook for several months to accept human interaction. Since he is wild born he does not take to humans readily so it has been a slow process gaining his trust. He is starting to tolerate our close proximity, taking food from our hands, and even perching on a gloved hand. We're working toward him tolerating being in front of an audience for educational presentations. This little lady is a Southern Three-Banded Armadillo. She was adopted from an armadillo rescue who took her in when she was relinquished from the people who purchased her as a mascot for the Soccer World Cup. She is young and is already a great Ambassador showing off her absolutely amazing adaptations.
